Zoe’s recent work includes:

  • Representing a generational farmer and securing a settlement which limited the award to his wife to housing need at £500,000, thereby ensuring the farm remained intact. Farm valued at circa £25 million.
  • Representing a husband who was gifted substantial land during the parties marriage and ran a successful business. Securing a settlement via dispute resolution (private FDR) which enabled the husband to retain his business and all land received by him during the marriage. The private FDR Judge found the wife was not entitled to share in the majority of the land gifted to the husband during the marriage and that such land was “non-matrimonial”.
  • Representing a parent as an intervenor in her daughter’s divorce proceedings and securing via preliminary issue judgment that she was entitled to the monies she had paid towards the purchase of the family home and was entitled to remain living in it for her lifetime. Obtaining an order that the husband pay her costs of over £35,000.
  • Representing a wife who due to ill health could not work and had been subject to coercive control. Securing an award which provided for her to receive 60% of the capital assets, ongoing maintenance from the husband and a pension sharing award on the basis of equality.
  • Obtaining a non-molestation and occupation order to protect the wife in a case involving a family farm and obtaining an award that the husband pay her costs of £10,000.
